During the six months foreigners have bought property in Croatia for 70 million euros

In the first half of the foreigners have invested in real estate Croatian more than 70 million euros.

According to the Croatian National Bank, the growth of foreign investment in the markets of Croatia increased by six months in half compared with the previous year.

From January to June 2011 foreign investors invested 485.3 million euros, while for all of 2010 amounted to only 232.5 million euros. Then it was the lowest in 15 years. A record amount - 4.2 billion euros - Croatia has received from foreigners in 2008.

Now the most popular targets for investment are banks and financial intermediaries. During the first six months of the year they received from foreign investors 286.5 million euros. In second place - the metallurgical industry (173.8 million euros). Third on the list is real estate: foreigners have invested in the company's real estate sector 97.1 million euros and bought housing and commercial sites totaling 74.2 million euros.

The biаggest investment activity show the citizens of the United States, followed by Austrians (138.1 million euros) and Germans (44.3 million euros).
Recall yesterday, Bloomberg reported that half of the property in the City of London owned by foreign companies.
