Ukrainian housing market comes to life after the crisis 

  In Ukraine, buy and sell more and more apartments.
  During 2011 notaries in Ukraine has been certified by more than 254.5 thousand contracts of sale of flats and houses. Specified number of transactions by almost 12% more than in 2010 (more than 224.9 thousand contracts of sale of flats and houses). Thus, last year the real estate market in Ukraine has stopped falling, the first time since 2008. This was announced by Justice Minister Oleksandr Lavrynovych with reference to the statistical report on the activities of notaries in 2011, the press service of the Ministry of Justice.
  In terms of the largest regions of Ukraine (the number of resident population) in 2011 was certified by notaries following number of contracts of sale of flats and houses: in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev - 23 267, in the Donetsk region - 32 992, in the Odessa region - 13 465, in the Lviv region - 9466, in Kharkiv region - 22 378.
   The minister recalled that the relative stabilization of the residential real estate market in Ukraine began in 2010. For this year it was certified by notaries contracts of alienation of residential real estate only half a percent (1.5 thousand transactions) less than in 2009. For comparison, during 2009 the number of transactions in the property market fell by 27 percent relative to 2008. In turn, in 2008, compared with 2007, the number of transactions in residential real estate declined by almost 20 percent.
